Connect in Claude.ai

  1. Go to claude.ai → Settings → Connectors (older versions call it Integrations)
  2. Click Add custom connector
  3. Enter URL: https://mcp.asterwise.com/mcp
  4. Click Connect — you will be redirected to Asterwise OAuth
  5. Sign in with your Asterwise account
  6. Authorize the connector
  7. You are connected — all 104 tools are now available to Claude

Connect in Cursor

Add to your ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

{
"mcpServers": {
"asterwise": {
"url": "https://mcp.asterwise.com/mcp"
}
}
}

Restart Cursor. The Asterwise tools will appear in the MCP tools panel.

Available tools

All 104 tools follow a consistent naming convention: asterwise_get_* for chart and compatibility data.

Example tools:

  • asterwise_get_natal_chart — full sidereal natal chart
  • asterwise_get_dasha — Vimshottari Dasha tree
  • asterwise_get_yogas — classical yoga detection
  • asterwise_get_panchanga — daily Panchanga elements
  • asterwise_get_compatibility — Ashtakoot compatibility with Rajju and Vedha vetoes

Requirements

  • An Asterwise account with an active API key
  • Any plan, including the free Sandbox tier (500 calls a month). MCP usage counts against the same quota as direct API calls.

Troubleshooting

OAuth redirect fails: Ensure you are logged into asterwise.com before clicking Connect.

Tools not appearing: Restart your MCP client after connecting.

Building your own MCP client? Use an HTTPS URL as your client_id that serves a Client ID Metadata Document (the current MCP standard). No registration call or secret is needed; PKCE S256 is required. A reference document is at asterwise.com/public/oauth/example-client.json.

API errors in tools: Check your plan limits at asterwise.com/dashboard.
